Torre del Cerrano

The Parco del Cerrano is a marine area bordered by seven kilometers of coastline between the towns of Pineto and Silvi, among spectacular pine forests, white sand dunes and crystal clear sea.
Torre di Cerrano is the symbol of the park and is one is one of the ancient coastal towers of the Kingdom of Naples , which today houses a museum dedicated to the sea.
Do not miss the ancient sunken harbor of the city of Hadri, which can be admired by snorkeling. An unforgettable experience!

Sanctuary of San Gabriele

The sanctuary of "San Gabriele dell'Addolorata" is located at the foot of the Gran Sasso, a pilgrimage destination much loved by young people. Among the famous visitors to the sanctuary, Pope Giovanni Paolo II and Joseph Ratzinger.
There are two unmissable events: one in March, in which students from Abruzzo and Marche arrive at the sanctuary, to pray for a good result of the state exam (with the traditional blessing of the pens); and another in August, when hundreds of people camp for a few days, giving life to a religious meeting.

Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park

The park is located in the heart of the Apennines and extends over three regions: Abruzzo, Lazio and Marche. Its geographical position, the height of the mountains and its geology mean that the park is inhabited by an extraordinary wealth of animal and plant species, as well as by a variety of unique landscapes. The Park includes three different mountain groups: the Gran Sasso mountain chain with the highest apennine summit, the Corno Grande (2,912 m), the Laga Mountains and the calcareous Monti Gemelli.

Camosciara Nature Reserve

This Nature Reserve is one of the best known parts of the Abruzzo National Park and was created to protect the Abruzzo chamois and Marsican bears in particular.
Also present in the area are the apennine wolf, deer, roe deer and the golden eagle. You can take various paths to discover the Reserve on foot, by bike or even by train!
The train allows you to visit the incredible landscape in a different way, without disturbing the wildlife.

Sagittarius' Gorges Natural Reserve

This regional nature reserve is a WWF Oasis, to be discovered absolutely on foot. Here the erosion of the waters of the Sagittario river has given life to a spectacular canyon that also offers refuge to Marsican bears, wolves and hawks. The area extends for about 400 hectares.

Lake of Scanno

The largest natural lake in Abruzzo. Here you can practice various sports such as canoeing, pedal boat trips, bird watching, but it is also an ideal place for picnics or barbecues or simply relaxing or sunbathing. For the little ones there is a small playground with slides and swings

Barrea Lake

Barrea Lake is an artificial lake located in the Alto Sangro area. It's possible to go on naturalistic excursions to closely observe the fauna, horse riding, cycling, walking and guided tours.

Vasto and the "Costa dei Trabocchi"

An itinerary not to be missed is the one that starts from Vasto and crosses the Costa dei Trabocchi in Abruzzo. One of the most beautiful and fascinating stretches of coast. The area is rich in the so-called "trabocchi", curious constructions on stilts, real fishing machines that would be attributed to the Phoenicians. Many trabocchi have been restored and some of them house restaurants. Within the southern part of this coast there is Vasto, famous for being in one of the most artistic places in Abruzzo.
